Get-Together at Penny Black (Boat Quay)

You are invited to attend and bring guests to our Monthly Get-Together at the Upstairs lounge of the Penny Black on 7th October 2010 commencing at 7 pm.
As usual the Penny Black will be providing free finger food and Happy Hour prices on drinks all evening.

In addition to the free drinks, EVERSHEDS LLP will be giving a brief presentation about the UK Bribery Act and its implications.
This new Act gives the UK Courts full powers to investigate and prosecute companies for any act of bribery or corruption, wherever the act of bribery occurs. The Act applies to all companies which carry on any business in the UK, however limited that activity is as well as all UK Citizens. With very heavy fines for companies, and routine extradition and custodial sentences for those actively involved, companies can only protect themselves by putting in place adequate procedures to prevent bribery.
